Due to the high number of families living with food insecurity, health and family challenges among those in the U.S. are on the rise. Often these families must make difficult decisions between purchasing quality food, or food in bulk; paying for food, or paying for health care; buying food, or paying for bills. At CFJC we believe that food is a basic human right. As demonstrated in this article, our country does not practice this value. In the richest country in the world, people should not have to decide between food and health care, or food and bills.
