Today’s Connecting the Dots: Climate Change

Public News Service The U.S. Treasury and taxpayers are losing out on hundreds of millions of dollars each year as the oil and gas developers do not pay royalties. Taxpayers for Common Sense reports show that there is no law implemented to charge energy companies for the gas that is used on federal land’s drilling sites. Extracted oil is used to power the company’s equipment, burned off known as flaring, or leaked which is written off as an “unavoidable loss.” Flaring heats the skies, kills crops, and releases toxins in the air that increases greenhouse gases which greatly impact global climate change. @PNS_News #flaring #ClimateChange
