Connecting the Dots #CTD- Climate Change

On Tuesday, President Barack Obama promised to veto legislation approving the proposed Keystone XL pipeline. If approved, the pipeline would send up to 830,000 barrels of oil a day from Canada’s oil sands to refineries on the Gulf Coast consequently increasing greenhouse gas emissions and endanger wildlife habitat. The President’s promise comes from recognizing pipeline opposition from activists, students, unions, and social justice groups. Since 400,000 people participated in The People’s Climate March in New York, it has become apparent that the opposition to Keystone XL has not marginalized the climate movement – in fact, it has made us bigger, louder, and more powerful than ever. #KeystoneXL #EnvironmentalJustice
